Abundant Blessings Ministry Team

Do you have a heart for foster or adopted children? Do you want to serve on a team with others to create a satellite of support around foster and adoptive families? Then join our team! We meet quarterly to touch base, seek ways to grow our ministry and pray for foster and adoptive kids and families.

Abundant Blessings Basics

Our boutique is a Christian clothing ministry to help parents provide stylish and tasteful attire for the children in their care while respecting the child’s need for dignity and self-esteem. We are currently serving foster children in Christian, Lawrence, Barry, Stone and Taney counties AND children in need living in Christian County.

What does a child receive at each visit?*
  • 3 outfits (tops and bottoms)
  • 3 new pairs of socks and underwear
  • 1 set of pajamas
  • 1 coat/jacket
  • 1 pair of shoes (casual or dress)
* As long as inventory allows.

How often can a child visit the clothing ministry?
Each child may receive clothing four times per calendar year (once per quarter). Parents or caseworkers may visit with or without the child.

What do caregivers need to bring?
Foster families, please bring a Travel Letter to your first visit. Families in need in Christian County, please bring a photo ID of a parent and proof of residence.

Want to help?
We accept donations at the boutique during our open hours as well as through our sponsoring church, Aldersgate United Methodist, located at 460 W. Aldersgate Drive, Nixa.

Foster Family Respite Care

Foster families are on the front lines living with, loving and advocating for foster kids. Respite care is a hands-on way we give foster families time to renew while knowing their foster child is in good care. Respite events are provided up to four times per year.
