Community Outreach

Abundant Blessings

Southwest Missouri has the highest rate of child abuse and neglect in the state, and one of the highest rates in the nation. Christian and Greene counties currently have more than 1000 children in foster care.  This sad fact offers an opportunity for the love and healing the Church offers to enter and impact these young lives. We minister to foster and adoptive children in our church and community in a variety of ways. We also operate the Abundant Blessings Closet for foster children.

Least of These

We are a proud supporter of Least of These, a clothing closet and food pantry serving Christian county. Click the heading for more information on volunteer opportunities.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministers are trained to listen and offer support for those in crisis. Click the heading for more information.

CERT

We proudly participate in the Christian County CERT program. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program helps train people to be better prepared to respond to emergency situations in their communities. When emergencies happen, CERT members can give critical support to first responders, provide immediate assistance to victims, and organize spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site. CERT members can also help with non-emergency projects that help improve the safety of the community.
